lose weight, if you've been depressed chances are you've been lazy. Which results in weight gain. You need to start feeling better about yourself and losing weight will not only give you more energy but give you the confidence you've been lacking lately. So put the doughnut down and pick the barbell up. You owe it to yourself to look and feel the best you can.

Begin eating healthy. Make better food choices, just like your mind, your body needs the right fuel to feel better. Eating junk food or worse not eating at all when your depressed will only make your body feel sluggish.

When your family and close friends suggest talking to a therapist could help, don't get mad or feel insulted. Talking to a professional psychotherapist, someone who does not know you sometimes is easier then trying to confide in someone who does know you. A therapist will not tell you want you want to hear but what you need to hear to move on.

Look at old pictures, It's okay to remember how happy and how good it once was. Sometimes looking at something that we so desperately want to avoid will only keep haunting us. So look at your pictures through different eyes and maybe you'll begin to put the past behind you, where it belongs.

Work- out, begin an exercise program and stick to it. It's the one thing you'll have control over and you'll find the results rewarding. You gain a new found energy, because sadness and depression will deplete us sometimes of our energy levels. As your work- outs progress, you will begin to not only see positive changes in your body's appearance but mental clarity begins to come back.

Reach out for emotional help. Your family and friends really do hate to see you in pain. Allow them into your life, let them cheer you up, cook dinner for you, all the things they know will help put a smile back on your face. Surround yourself with them and accept the love they want to give you.
